THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND DONATIONS THIS WEEK
MAY 28, 2020
WE’RE GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE DONATIONS WE’VE RECEIVED THIS WEEK. THANK YOU.
From a book sale to pizza, and flowers to gowns, our wonderful community in Queens and New York City is keeping us strong.

We can never thank our neighbors’ enough for their ongoing support. Avery held a book sale with her friends which raised $71 for our fight against the coronavirus. Thank you, Avery!

Gowns are among the items that we urgently need. We’re grateful to the kind people at Garment District for Gowns for providing us with 50 of them.

LIC Relief have been one of the most continually supportive community groups throughout the crisis. During the past week, they stopped by with gloves and masks.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn sent these beautiful flowers to our staff for all of their hard work.

The shortage of N95 face masks is well-documented. So, we’re grateful to grassroots volunteer groups like Last Mile – NYCPPE for getting this box to us.

UnitedHealthcare are long-term supporters of The Floating Hospital. Their donation of face masks arrived as our COVID-19 testing program fully launched. These masks keep our staff safe as they administer these vital tests.

Panic buying and price-gouging has made it difficult to obtain essential items, especially for those already in need. Baby2Baby provides diapers and other childcare essentials for those living in poverty. We’re grateful for the large shipment of diapers they sent us to distribute to our patients.
We’re grateful to Dino’s Pizzeria in Astoria who provided our hardworking staff with lunch throughout the week.

The Floating Hospital provides high-quality healthcare to anyone who needs it regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, immigration or insurance status, or the ability to pay. By providing unrestricted medical care in tandem with health education and social support to vulnerable New York City families, The Floating Hospital aims to ensure those most in need have the ability to thrive, not just survive.
