TFH Unveils Tania Chan Reading Discovery Memorial

The more you read,
the more things you will know.
The more that you learn,
the more places you’ll go!

– Dr. Suess

This September, The Floating Hospital unveiled the Tania Chan Reading Discovery memorial at our Long Island City clinic. A dedicated volunteer at the hospital, Tania Chan Service loved teaching children and was inspired herself by the words of Dr. Seuss and Deepak Chopra. In her memory, The Floating Hospital has dedicated a space in the Health Education Discovery Room in our LIC clinic, giving our younger patients a cozy and engaging space where they can learn and grow.

Thanks to a generous donation from the UNFCU Foundation, the reading space will inspire children to read and ask questions about the world around them and carry on Tania’s spirit within the Health Education Discovery Room. A special and heart-felt thank you to Colin Service and his family; William Predmore and everyone at United Nations Federal Credit Union and UNFCU Foundation for dedicating this new space and for donating additional books for our kids.
