Upcoming virtual panel discussion on domestic violence
On December 10, The Floating Hospital will take part in “Interrupting Violence During Turbulent Times: One Community Working Together to Heal.”
This will be a virtual panel discussion about the recent uptick in violent crime this year, and how organizations from health, social service and justice sectors are working together to build a support network for their most vulnerable neighbors in Long Island City, Queens.
The Floating Hospital’s director of behavioral health Igda Martinez, PsyD, (pictured above) will co-host the panel with two community partners, 696 Build Queensbridge and the DOVE Initiative at Safe Horizon. The former, 696 Build, is a community-based program for youth in the Queensbridge community, and the latter is a collaboration between New York City and Safe Horizon, the nation’s leading victim assistance organization.
Please stay tuned for additional details. Contact info@thefloatinghospital.org for information on the Zoom panel.
